floor rails, rail car, push/pull stand, and bolster extensionsstyle: two station rail car on flush with floor tracks
frame: structural steel weldment capacity: two dies weighing up to 40,000 lbs. each rail car drive:
air powered gearmotor to thru-axle rail wheel assemblies
operator position:
on rider platform with dead-man footswitch during rail car travel; behind push/pull unit during die exchange
car travel control:
forward/reverse variable speed control via manual actuator valve, shot pin lock/release rocker switch on panel at rider platform
car travel speed: up to 20 fpm (maximum limit adjustable per customer preference) car location: visual alignment final location held by cylinder actuated shot pins car retention: shot pin at each station engages push/pull base to prohibit car drift car power:
shop air at 80 psi and 200 scfm via 75 hose reel included on car, one 1-1/2 Ross Lockout valve with muffler is included (more as option)
air supply source: from under pit cover of scrap conveyor transfer height: fixed at approx. 27 (same as press, floor to bolster surface) car mobility: (2) dual flange, (2) flat steel wheel assemblies to match GVMI flush track load deck: three rows of Hilman rollers on 18 centers (F-B) on each station die location on deck: visual alignment L-R and F-B press access:
fixed bridge bolster extensions to fill 7-8 gap between press and car, with 36 pivoting section on each extension to allow personnel access
push/pull:
powered dual Serapid rigid chain system attached to scrap conveyor, cover plate, provides single stroke die insertions or extractions
push/pull chain magazine: mounted vertically extending approx. 10 above the floor push/pull reach: approx. 15 across shuttle station, bolster extensions and into press die/chain connection: powered end-of-chain gripper to mate with die mounted handles die transfer speed: fixed at approx 10 fpm extending and retracting die transfer controls:
extend/retract and grab/release via momentary pushbuttons on hand-held pendant controller allows excellent visibility of die transfers
interlocks:
chain must be fully retracted prior to rail car movement, shot pin must be extended prior to push/pull chain functioning
car to floor clearance: 1" die stops:
on push/pull side: fixed to retain 84 F-B, removable for 72 and 60 dies
on press side: removable pins for 84, 72, and 60 F-B dies
die alignment: left & right guides to center die on each station (assumes std. L-R size) die guides: fixed guide bars on either side of each station on the car deck size: approx. 300" L-R X 72" F-B car size: approx. 336 L-R X 87 F-B at chain guide are for die stop pin sockets floor rail:
70' total of modular sections of approx. 56 track gauge flat bar rails for installation flush with the finished floor one rail allows dual flanged wheels, the other supports the flat wheels (no groove for flanges)
rail support structure: leveling and grouting provisions provided with sections paint: standard Regal Yellow industrial enamel over primer documentation:
excavation drawing, mechanical approval drawing prior to build, rail installation drawings and rail car installation drawings , three (3) copies of GVMI spec manuals following all as-built changes
engineering support: start-up assistance and training of operators from 2 shifts (2 days total)
